Chris Cornell tribute concert announced, will feature Foo Fighters, Metallica, Ryan Adams and more

A massive tribute concert has been announced in honour of Chris Cornell, rock music legend who tragically took his own life in May last year. The show will show will feature an all-star lineup, with sets from Foo Fighters, Metallica and Ryan Adams, as well as Chris Cornell’s own former bands Soundgarden, Audioslave, and Temple of the Dog. Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the event will take place in Los Angeles in January 2019.

Vicky, Chris Cornell’s widow, commented, “We are honored to have all these amazing artists and friends come together to pay tribute to and show their love and appreciation for Chris, his music and the mark he’s left on the world. We look forward to sharing this night with all the fans.”

All proceeds from the event will go to the Chris and Vicky Cornell Foundation for vulnerable children and the Epidermolysis Bullosa Medical Research Foundation.
