Kicking off our new podcast series is none other than techno icon Ellen Allien. A generational visionary, she has always looked to the future for inspiration, carving her own path in the world of techno and the Berlin dance scene as DJ, musician, label-manager and creative all rounder. Unable to tour in 2020, she started one of the first lockdown live stream series called The Balcony Streaming Sessions, hosted from her home in Berlin and at the start of this year, released her epic EP Rosen. In this episode, our host Tazmé Pillay chats to Ellen about the inspiration behind the music on Rosen, and what life has been like for her in post-lockdown Berlin. Listen below.
