As the penultimate track on TAU’s upcoming 16 track Spektrum Vol.4 compilation, Xinobi’s Too Early Too Late is astoundingly fresh. The Portuguese producer takes an unconventional approach with his sizzling tech cut, playing with structure and polyrhythms that make for a kinetic listen. Metallic claps and brassy kicks accent a throbbing bassline and steady four on the floor pulse, but it’s Xinobi’s off-key choice to work commandeering vocals in at the breakdown that sends Too Early Too Late to huge heights.
