Apple has introduced a new feature in its Apple Maps and Apple Music apps that enables users to discover concerts in select locations worldwide. Called Apple Music Guides, this concert discovery feature utilises information from Bandsintown and currently includes 10 cities, including Chicago, Los Angeles, London, and Paris. The feature became available on May 18 and features curated guides by Apple Music editors that highlight the best live music venues in these cultural hubs. The aim is to enhance the connection between fans and artists while celebrating the joy of live music.
In addition to the concert discovery feature, Apple has also launched Set Lists, a feature that provides fans with the opportunity to access and explore set lists from major tours worldwide. This feature allows fans to listen to the tracks performed during concerts and read about each song. Furthermore, Apple has integrated Shazam’s concert discovery module into its platform, enabling fans to browse upcoming shows by their favourite artists in their area.
Speaking on these recent developments, Apple Music emphasised the influence of their team. “Apple Music offers the ultimate listening experience for music fans around the world, distinguished in part by its global team of expert curators and lifelong music obsessives who make a point to surface the songs and albums users have to hear,” they explained.
Apple Music has introduced various features in recent years, including karaoke, spatial audio DJ mixes, and innovative technologies that enable artists to monetise their mixes.
