In a blaze of burning synths and palpitating kicks sits Ethan Tait, a DJ and producer from the heart of South Africa. Having started his music journey as a teen in Cape Town’s electronic music scene, he went on to begin a full-time music career in his new home, Johannesburg. To show that he meant business, he interned under Swoon Recordings label founder and local act Ryan Murgatroyd, cementing his dedication to his craft.

Now, after years spent honing his skill, Ethan has established his own imprint Yenrouj where he will be releasing his latest creation, which he describes as “…a blend of myriad synth grooves, mystic guitar strums & infectious drum rhythms, with just enough melancholy to set the tone for this sonic journey. The release also boasts renditions by Cape Town’s Alley SA adding his organic warm touch & Jason Scoble with his intricate revision to round off our second release on the label.”
We were lucky enough to gain access to the track ahead of its release this Friday. A palette of textured foley percussions, tribalistic overtones, and crisp ‘n cutting sound design, this track is not one you want to miss.
