Emerging queer-pop sensation Loren Heat is set to unveil their latest single ‘Want It All’ on July 19th, 2024 through the Quiet Crown imprint. It serves as the final track from their eagerly anticipated debut EP Scarlet Haze, slated for release on August 9th, 2024. Having already garnered attention from influential platforms such as BBC Introducing, Notion, Earmilk, CULTR, and NARC, Loren Heat is swiftly expanding beyond their local Teesside roots. Loren’s music, heavily influenced by the LGBTQIA+ community of the northeast, reflects a blend of dark pop sensibilities inspired by artists like Renee Rapp, Dua Lipa, Alfie Jukes, Years and Years, Rita Ora, and Mabel.
‘Want It All’ sees Loren delving into the complexities of baring one’s heart and vulnerability when confessing feelings. The song features kaleidoscopic synths over which Loren’s soulful, sultry vocal effortlessly soar. This upbeat anthem draws comparisons to the styles of Dua Lipa, Robyn, and Slayyyter. Co-written and produced by Chad Rodgers (Cape Cub) and mastered by Jack Kennedy, ‘Want It All’ departs from conventional love songs with its daring and hopeful perspective on the subject, contrasting the often melancholic norm.
Loren shares: “’Want It All’ is about wanting to admit your love and feelings for someone you already have a friendship with, but being scared that it may crumble. What if it doesn’t work out and we lose everything in the fallout? For me, ‘Want It All’ is the acceptance of falling in love. Going from being cocky and liking how the friendly flirting is feeding your ego, to wanting to take it slow and being worried that you’re giving in to what might be just infatuation. It’s terrifying but freeing to fall in love and I wanted this song to take a journey through the stages of going from having that wall up to just enjoying the fall and excitement that it actually is.”
