Extreme weather conditions have forced organisers Made Event to abandon the third day of their New York EDM festival Electric Zoo, which was set to host performances by Kaskade and Alesso, as well as Skrillex and Diplo’s collaborative project Jack U.
“In collaboration with New York City officials, Electric Zoo has made the decision to shut down the festival for the remainder of the day,” read the official press release, “We apologize to our fans, but ultimately our main concern is for the safety and security of all attendees, artists and staff.”
Following two drug-related deaths, the Sunday of Electric Zoo 2013 was also cancelled, and this latest frustration has caused one disappointed punter to dub the Sunday “cursed.”
Further information regarding possible refunds will soon be announced through the festival’s official website.
