Jay Z Launches Tidal – The Internet Reacts

Despite looking a lot like one of the worlds most expensive line-ups; Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, Madonna, Jay Z, Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Usher, Jason Aldean, Daft Punk and Jack White stood in front of an audience yesterday to talk business.

They’re some of the biggest names in music and together they have launched what they described to be “An artist owned music and video streaming service“. The service, which was bought for $50 million in the hope that it would rival Spotify and other competitors of its kind.

The project is mainly a collaboration between Aspiro and Jay Z and in the past week has spiked 938%.

Check out the videos below to get an idea on what Tidal is all about.

Those endorsing the product seemed thrilled at the prospect.

Tidal plans to charge £9.99 a month for a basic subscription and £19.99 for a ‘high-quality’ subscription.

So while #TIDALforALL has been trending on Twitter, it hasn’t all been for the right reasons.
