Arca has announced the release of a limited vinyl box set for the KICK cycle. Titled KICK: The Complete Cycle, the 5xLP vinyl box set will include all five KICK albums, and features exclusive new artwork for KiCk i. The set will be released on May 20 via XL Recordings. Pre-order it here.
Arca has also shared a new song, Cayó and an accompanying music video directed by Albert Moya to go along with the announcement. Produced alongside Tim Hecker, Arca says Cayó is a track about “exploring self states, non-binary modes of relating of that which is ‘other,’ creating new intersectional ways of mediating identity through exploring sensuality, and heightened communion with the sensual embodiment of self.” The video features Arca as variations of a number of her previous performance avatars, shot in a mid-fi handycam style. Cayó meanwhile recalls Arca’s earlier work, particularly tracks like Reverie off her 2017 self-titled album. Watch the music video below.
