Brendon Whitney aka Alias, Anticon cofounder dies at 41

On March 30th, Maine-based producer and DJ Brendon Whitney, better known as Alias, has sadly passed away at the age of 41 due to a heart attack.

Cofounder of the American collective and imprint Anticon, who has put out some of the finest records by independent artists such as Baths, d33j, Pictureplane, Serengeti, Son Lux, TOBACCO, as well as Alias himself, who last released an LP, Pitch Black Prism, back in 2014 and had also dabbled within a number of other collaborations and projects including Deep Puddle Dynamics, which helped define some of the underground music in the early 2000’s.
