Kerri Chandler is a behemoth of the house scene and has been DJing since the 90’s; since the release of his first single ‘SuperLover/Get It Off’ on Atlantic Records in 1990, this deep house legend has released over 100 records. Now, the veteran DJ has released 43 tracks for download of tracks that have never been available digitally before now. The free 43-track, 2GB drop includes classics like ‘Get It Off’, from Chandler’s valuable 1990 debut EP ‘Super Lover’, collaborations with Dee Dee Brave and Naeem Johnson, a batch of Nina Simone remixes and ‘Mommy What’s A Record’, a well-known track off his ‘The Thing For Linda’ 12-inch.
Kerri Chandler‘s influences go back to growing up in a family of jazz musicians, with a DJ father who took Chandler through the sounds of soul, disco and the New York Underground Sound. Accompanying his father to gigs, Chandler began playing records for events in New Jersey when he was just thirteen and by age fourteen, he had already begun interning in studios and producing music.
A brief note from Kerri Chandler on his big digital release reads: “As promised I am putting this link up for 43 songs of mine for free that weren’t available as digital downloads. Hope you enjoy and play them.”
