The International Music Summit (IMS) Ibiza has revealed its first 10 speakers for its 2023 edition. The electronic music platform is set to take place at the Destino Pacha Resort and will be hosted by BBC Radio 1 presenters, Jaguar and Pete Tong.
This year’s summit theme will be ‘Face The Future’, and it will feature discussions on topics such as AI, ageism in the industry, music rights management, web3, neurodiversity, and journalism. The impressive line-up of speakers includes SHERELLE, Fabio & Grooverider, Elijah, Fat Tony, TOKiMONSTA, LP Giobbi, and Warner Music’s CEO Max Lousada.
IMS Ibiza co-founder and curator, Ben Turner, commented on the exciting speaker list, saying that the summit will address the key issues facing the music industry today. Turner added that with the arrival of AI, it’s time for the industry to face the future and deal with the new products, problems, and possibilities presented to us.
The summit will also be supported by YouTube, which will host The YouTube Lounge – a co-working space for networking, meetings, and refreshments. Dan Chalmers, Head of Music for Europe, Middle East, and Africa at YouTube, said forums like IMS are crucial to bring the industry together to explore innovation and break new ground in the ever-evolving technological landscape.
