Mount Kimbie release new song and announce tour dates

2017 saw Mount Kimbie reach new heights. They released their critically lauded album Love What Survives and took their newly formed four piece live show to sold out venues across the world including stand out shows at Londons Roundhouse and ParisTrianon where King Krule joined them on stage. 2018 is set to follow on this theme, with festivals booked and a US tour which has now been announced.

To coincide with this announce, the duo have released ‘Turtle Neck Man’ taken from the same sessions as Love What Survives. It’s a song of contradictions; the sweet soundbed created by Mount Kimbie rubbing against the thickly painted strident tones of King Krules vocals. This vanquishing composite was also demonstrated on the album where Marshall features on single ‘Blue Train Lines‘.
Love What Survives demonstrated how a family approach to musicianship can help create a succinct and wondrous body of work. The album features a tight-knit crew of musicians including James Blake, Micachu and the aforementioned King Krule. The 11 track album has gained two BBC 6Music playlist additions for the tracks ‘Marilyn‘ and ‘We Go Home Together‘, and has been critically lauded around the world.
