The United States is currently the most severely hit country in the world. Tragically, at the time of writing this article (Februrary 2nd) the USA has registered a total of 26,911,375 coronavirus cases and 454,213 deaths.
2021 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival has officially been cancelled. Initially the festival was set to take place from April the 9th – 11th and 16th – 18th. However, a public health order has been put in place, with public health officer Dr. Cameron Kaiser of Riverside County, California tweeting a link to the order; containing health and safety codes and laws, the reasoning behind the cancellation and further information on the state of Riverside County and the coronavirus.
This Order is intended to reduce the likelihood of exposure to COVID-19, thereby slowing the spread of COVID-19 in communities worldwide. If COVID-19 were detected at these festivals, the scope and number of attendees and the nature of the venue would make it infeasible, if not impossible, to track those who may be placed at risk
