ISQ have been releasing a series of electronic and dance-infused remixes leading up to their 4th full-length album, Requiem For the Faithful 2.0: The Remixes. Listeners have experienced the alt-jazz band’s sound transformed into a series of unexpected and rewarding tracks, with assistance from the likes of American DJ Arthur Baker and Italian-based producer Emmanuelle. The final remix to be shared ahead of the album is Slovo’s take on ‘Run To You’, which deftly defies characterisation and instead holds itself as a unique independent listening experience.

Slovo is headed by Dave Randall, who is the former lead guitarist for Faithless and has also worked on Grammy award-winning records by Dido and with Sinead O’Connor as well as Emiliana Torrini. While creating the remix, Slovo created a new bridging point between two different genres, as they highlight the bittersweet vocals found within the original single before gently drawing the listener into a world of irresistibly vibrant dance, as a bold lover would to a shy partner.
Requiem For the Faithful 2.0: The Remixes will be released on the 21st of May. You can pre-save the album here.
