Jeremy Olander – Murphy
Progressive house maestro Jeremy Olander’s new single is testament to why he’s considered a leader in progressive and melodic house circles. Crafted around a soaring, introspective lead arpeggio, Murphy is both emotional and euphoric all at once; the perfect concoction for a late summer dancefloor.
PinkPantheress – Picture In My Mind
Runaway success PinkPanthress’s latest single follows her acclaimed LP debut, and evolves her UKG / jungle rooted sound further. While those influences are intact, on Picture she’s pulling from French touch house, with a four chord piano riff and touches of funk percussion. Trading verses with featured artist Gelliatry, the breezy, blissed out track keeps Pantheress’s place as one of the most exciting new voices in pop.
M.I.A – Popular
While M.I.A’s last single was at best head scratching, Popular is a somewhat return to form. Stripped of any questionable divine enlightenment, Popular sees a delightfully vapid M.I.A shoot verses across a humid reggaeton beat accented with horns and gun cocking effects. It’s closer to the M.I.A we know and love, and reveals itself as a glimmer of hope for her upcoming album.
Keys N Krates – Siento Mi Destino (bad tuner remix)
Brooklyn’s bad tuner is easily one of our top rising artists to watch. His brand of funked out, dance all night house is as refreshing as it is familiar, and here he applies the formula to Keys N Krate’s 2021 dembow turn Siento Mi Destino. bad tuner’s take is a lot more chilled out than the original. He adds a loungey groove that elevates the sensuality of Lido Pimienta’s verses, making for a perfect groove house storm.
