Santigold – Nothing

On the third single from upcoming album Spirituals, alt-pop artist Santigold looks toward dark, moody trap and highlife. Nothing is full of strobing bass lines and shimmery synths that accent a gentle half time beat and Santigold’s own breathless vocals.

SXXRGGTN – Safety Trance

Taken from Safey Trance’s debut EP Noches de Terror, SXXRGGTN combines the producer’s mutant approach to reggeaton with influences from ballroom. Decayed dembow beats resonate across SXXGGTN’s landscape, while a demented vogue siren wails out amidst crashes and industrial backspins.

Disclosure, TOKiMONSTA – Waterfall (TOKiMONSTA remix)

Taking on Disclosure’s latest single is L.A DJ/producer TOKiMONSTA who completely revamps the track away from Disclosure’s UKG breakbeats. Keying in on RAYE’s loungey vocals, she retools Waterfall as an impossibly chill, poolside house track with touches of balearic drums and breezy guitar plucks.

Coucou Chloe, Eartheater, Tony Seltzer – Blink (Tony Seltzer Remix)

Following in the growing trend of the remix album, Cocou Chloe shares the first single taken from her upcoming remix EP 1. Seltzer keeps Blink’s mournful piano concerto intact, and enlists Earteather to provide ample hooks and a refrain while adding a slow and seething trap crawl into the mix.

Mykki Blanco – French Lessons

Blanco’s upcoming album is shaping up to be one of their most earnest and varied to date. Following the exceptional Your Love Was A Gift, French Lessons is a charming and sensual love song that sees Blanco trade verses with Kelsey Lu along a sunny, looped mid-fi beat that’s equal parts elevator music and Motown.
