When remixing Shygirl’s Woe for the artist’s deluxe edition of their debut album, Nymph_0, Björk assumed the role of an elder imparting wisdom to a confused Shygirl. The result, which switches from the original to a classic Björk baroque electronica operetta, is one of the project’s more welcome surprises. In the accompanying music video, shot on handycam, Shygirl splices vignettes of her and her friends out on the town and her with a casual hookup with footage of deers and electric pylons in quick succession. The result highlights the lurking horror of Björk’s remix, which in turn makes her warnings that much more potent. Watch below.
